A similar wing (Jet-EZE or something) has been written up and tested in jetboat magazine, 6-7 years ago. The reports stated a boat would not suck up as much gravel or tag the bottom as often due to the wing when taking off from a standstill. It acted like a larger footprint and prevented the suction from dragging the boat down in skinny water starts, which seems to make sense.
The ad looks like a copied version of this design from the magazine.
It also mentioned load capacity and slower planing speeds were possible. I must admit, I thought hard about purchasing one but didn't.
I do not recall anything about a 30% increase in power though, that does not make sense......

I think that it is safe to say, in some cases, that you might get an X% increase in PERFORMANCE. Even that would be hard to quantify. Lots of variables there.

Hey, if it doesn't work, tack on a model airplane engine and have fun with it that way.

Or buy an airboat, sell the jetboat and start having fun where the jetboat runs out of water!!

Sold the jetboat years ago, can't believe it took me so long to convert.

That all makes complete sense, from a performance perspective. As you said, power wise, hmmmm.
Airboats? Don't need no stinking airboats.... Seriously though, if I lived in central AK, no question about it, Id have an airboat. However, I run the big lakes a lot, and you would die in an airboat on one of our big southern lakes. Same with Jon type boats. Horses for courses.

As a land based hunter I have no problem with the thrum-thrum of a jet boat out on a river. But dam, those airboats stay noisy forever and ever.

The new ones are not that loud. Old one's, yes, I agree.

Seems the airplanes buzzing overhead are the noisy guys always bothering me, then there's those high pitched, ear piercing, darn 200 hp mercury inboard optimax's on the SJX's and all, they are loud and annoying. Kind a like a skeeter in your ear, LOL!!

It looks like a jet airplane so it should perform like one, right??.

    "it's got what plants crave"

    Both theories are sound...
I have such a hard time trying to decide which outdoor activity to do every chance I get!! Living in AK is a mental challenge

If you dislike airboats what do you think about all the noise airplanes make?

Looks like a DOLFIN that's on a OB that's redone for a jet.
