Default any word on opening Federal refuges for hunting?

Not trying to beat a dead horse...
but, I've got a deer hunt scheduled, ferry paid, float plane set up ect...
And have talked to several bear hunters that got notified "Area is closed till further notice"

In the news it seems to say, "feds not really inforcing the closure for locals."

But, I am going into a guide's area in Deadman's Bay-- down in the south east corner.

I am hoping that it's not once I get to Kodiak- a "wait and see thing"

I talked to the guide and the airservice..
    neither has any up-to-date news

both "hoping" Gov Parnell will open the refuges to hunting, if the Fed govt still in "shutdown mode'

This could get costly to us hunters.

    thanks,
    Chris

Last I heard Andrews and Seahawk were still both flying into the salt. If you're looking to fly into Deadman's Bay you shouldn't have a problem. Who is your transporter?

Default Federal Lands should open Friday (ish)

Finally, someone blinked and it looks like our federal lands access problems will be gone shortly.

Govm't to vote to open late today, or tomorrow/Thursday.

    Yay!

Flying in with Steve (Harvey Air)

    really like the Wigeon!!!

But, going into a Guide's area...

was told tuesday, closed till further notice, unless I was living there...

With Govt opening up, hopefully we see the "Rusty Tusty" get her inspection (Coast guard), so will have no problem with the Ferry

leaving North Pole on 4 November to drive to Kodiak
