    Default Juneau area

I just moved down to Juneau on Monday and I'm looking for some info on where to find some birds. I know the mendenhall wetlands require basic hunters ed. I haven't had the time to take the course but I will soon. Thanks for any info.

The Wetlands is your best bet around Juneau. That being said there are a few areas that can hold birds.

The Dredge Lake area has two lakes that are huntable. Make sure you know where they are and the boundaries for that area.

Out the road past Cowee Creek can be good.

Some of the beaches can hold birds as well.

Just gotta get out and look around.
