    Exclamation hunting and water taxis

just a heads up to anyone planning on using a water taxi for a bear (or any other big game) hunt.
MAKE SURE your water taxi is a licensed transporter!!!
if they are not, they will not be able to take you. don't tell them you are "just camping" and then expect them to haul you and your game out when they come to pick you up...they will have to leave you on the beach.
with the current commercial services board coming down on transporters it is not worth it for any taxi operator to risk their livelyhood and vessel by "stretching" the rules...so be considerate and don't expect them to.

Coming down on transporters? Your not suggesting the Board is out of line are you? Didn't your group (ABHA) welcome the return of the Board? Surely the CSB can do no wrong, Dave??????????
Good advice tho. You got your transporter license for your vessel?

Wink considered it and decided not to.

transporting is a can of worms i don't want to open...
supposing a hunter wants to go "cove x" and i know that there is a girl scout jamboree there for a week. if i say "don't go to cove x, go to cove z"
then suddenly my hunter turns into an off-duty trooper and i'm "guiding"...
    sounds far-fetched, but it's not.

and btw, i don't think ABHA ever had an "official" position on the return of the CSB, though we did weigh in on the cabin-rental issue.
