    Default 92" Moose??

Sorry, this is the only image I have. Someone just sent it to me, apparently a 92" Moose taken here in the Yukon, by an outfitter, this fall. This image ring a bell with anyone?

The top of the head looks a little to big for the body/back leg to me

I think that's the front leg. I think it looks bigger than it is based on how far away the guy is sitting. He's 10 feet behind the head!

As soon as I received the e-mail, I thought the same thing. Anybody know the real story on this image, or was it a Photshop job?

Wow! That's an amazing moose! Almost as impressive as this 4-foot snowshoe hare I shot once. Would have gone Boone&Crocket... if they had that sort of thing on hare.
    My signature is awesome.

I've seen this photo before, it's been a few years. But i would like to add alittle story here, and with that said here we go.......
The year is 1947, the place is Whitehorse, in the Yukon, the gentleman's name is James H."Jim" Bond, from Portland, Or. he is a Hunter, an Outdoor's man, a Writer, and a Conservationist on par with Aldo Leopold. He is embarking on a 50+ day, Hunting and a Game Animal survey for the Canadian Gov. into the Head Waters of the Wind and Bonnet Plume Rivers of the Ogilvie Mtn. Range.
The Moose genetics in that part of the Yukon, are for "Sure", some of the Largest ever recorded, as attested to by Boone & Crockett.
Now i'm not endorsing this photo, I'm merely stating the "Genetic Facts" as i have personally seen a photo of an 81 3/4" Moose taken from that same area in 1959, by my Uncle's hunting partner.
And now to the "Rest of the Story", as Paul Harvey would say.
My uncle Ross and Jim were old Army Air Corps buddy's, B-17's and the like, I have the original book,-[ with-out a "dog eared" page]- that I was allowed to read for the first time, when i was 13, that was 1963, "From Out Of The Yukon" that Jim Bond Authored in 1948 of that trip, and it's adventures, and signed in 1956, as a gift to my Uncle. I remember hunting stories about that trip, and his trip in 1959, that were told around the camp fire, those were good times, as most of you can relate, I'm sure.
So, in closing, if you haven't seen or read this book, and you get your hands on one, hold on to it, as this is Hunting History.
