    They grow big fast !! I was told by the biologists at the Seattle Aquarium they only live about 5-6 years.

    Yeah they live 3-5 years on average and the largest ever recorded was 156lbs!

    I can't recall ever catching one on a rod/reel. Too cool.

    I run them through my grinder and make fritters out of them, taste like clams with no worry of grit, just clean white meat.
