    Default Does a 77 gr. bullet in a .223 Rem. need a 1:7 twist......????

    Will a 1:8 twist stabilize a 77 gr. bullet in a .223 Remington with an 18" barrel.....???

Yes it should stabilize but I would not go with any more than that or much shorter barrel

Out to 100 yards, I've consistently stabilized 77 grain Nosler 223 Match bullets in a 1:9 twist Rem R-15. I dont know how they track beyond 100 though.

BTW, that is a 22" bbl.
