Exclamation Unknown Fish? At least uknown to me...

I was walking my dog by Taku Lake when I noticed a school of 50+ fish in the shallows. As I looked closer they are all about 8"-10" long, dark brownish, and have a sucker type mouth (like a carp). Are there suckerfish here? I also saw a smaller fish which was about 6" long, light brown with splotches of dark brown which looked like what a miniature Ling Cod would look like. Maybe a sculpin?

I don't have a clue! Can anyone educate me on what I saw?

Longnose Suckers and the other was likely a Blackfish.

    Default Thanks for the info

They were definately Longnose suckers, but I think the other one was a Slimy Sculpin. I checked out the page you got your info from and the Slimy Sculpin fit the description better. Thanks again. I though I had found what someone had released from their aquarium or something. LOL... I might see if those suckers can be enticed on my 3wt. As many as there were, it would be a blast if the bite turns on...
