    Default Delta Clearwater Silvers

Well it's getting pretty near time to start trying to figure out if I can get a trip in to Delta Clearwater for some Silvers. I think it is a bit early right now but anyone been out lately? Also in the past we were able to rent a boat from Wainwright but having since gotten out of the service we won't have access to our own boat. Anyone got a rental option they can enlighten us on or maybe have extra room in your boat?

My buddy was out there last weekend and had a tough Time getting the grays to bite. Shore fishing Is good but in a boat it is spectacular.

From what I read about a week ago the count for Silvers was dismal on the Yukon so one would expect the numbers to be the same on the Delta Clearwater. I guess time will tell.

I never understood why people go and hammer on those turned (red) fish and then then wonder why returns continue to decrease.

Because. Its fun to catch fish. All you have to do is look to our ocean and see across that there's. 6billion hungry people that would.do any thing to get our rich supply of salmon. Look at tanana river full of hungry burbot, shee fish,Pike ,white fish and the trophy Size graylings in Delta clear. Its c/r for gray's. But you can only keep 1 under 12 inch. They get so big from all the silver salmon eggs. It's. The largest run in the interior.

I was out this last weekend. Saw a couple of silvers passing through as singles and was able to catch two.

Not in big groups as I've seen them later in the year or as aggressive as I've seen them either.

were you able to do from bank right by the campground? or do you need to do much walking? I have only fished using a boat to get up to schools then bank fishing.

Nice might have to head that way after-all. We were not going to go this year since we couldn't find a boat to go out in. Wanting to squeeze one more camping trip out of this year before putting everything away for good.
