    Default Powder supply report

This week (11SEP) both Sportsmans and Great Northern Guns got a big supply of powder in. Mostly IMR and Winchester. Unfortunately it was mostly odd ball rifle and pistol powder. IMR 4227, Win 231 and others, but no 4064, 4895 or other more common rifle powders.

Worth taking a look if you reload. Still no primers.

Win 231 is my go to powder in .45 ACP...also in 9mm, but I don't shoot that much.

I wonder how SWH decides who gets what. I picked up a keg of IMR 4064 in Portland yesterday; they also had kegs of Win 748, 3031, and some others. They had no single pounds. They had some primers, no .22LR, well they had some Thunderbolt that I passed on. The store in Salem had nothing.

When I was in AK last month SWH in ANC had .22LR and primers, but Wasilla had nothing.

    HEY, You're from Palmer.

    Wasilla is MY turf.

What is SP? I wonder if I need that.

Tainít no place in Palmer to buy my kind of goodies, need some H1000 so I went looking to see ifin you had left any for me in Wasilla and found you didnĎt. SP is Small pistola primers, ainít seen any of them little boogers on a shelf in months. It was mostly Federal but they had a small stock of primers, enough to load a little for about anything . . . But no H1000, RL22 or anything like that.

Check out Arctic Ammo, they had some primers and a bit of powder in there. Mostly Norma powders, which I can't find in all the normal reloading manuals. Had to go check online to see what each powder was for.

I've seen small pistol primers in several stores lately, no powder in a few, some odd ball powder at one. Seems to be loosening slightly... Haven't seen .22lr outside of my stash since june!

Sportsman's in Anchorage got a nice shipment of powder and primers in. Enough that the primers were out on the shelves instead of behind the counter. Small rifle/pistol, large rifle/pistol, and 209s. Winchester and Federal. A bunch of powder, but nothing I that I load so I can't say what it was. Good to see. Apparently they had 22LR, but it sold out this morning quickly.
