    Default New found appreciation

Im a fairly new duck hunter so I don't have a ton of experience. I connected with a few members from here over the spring and learned a few things about blowing a duck call. Even though I only was able to go once I learned a tremendous amount. Coupled with a new decoy spread Im having a pretty decent season so far. Im not taking limits but I am getting ducks. I also had the cool experience this morning of "talking" to a duck. I was making calls and chatter and had a female mallard swim up to the back half of my spread and quack back at me several times after making calls. It was pretty cool and she ended up in my bag as well. Ive got a whole new perspective and appreciation for hunting ducks and I've only been at it a few years. Thanks to those who helped me learn a few new things. I've got a long way to go but practice makes perfect!

You got that right. I was hooked after my buddy took me for the first time about 2 or 3 years ago. I dont get to go as much as I want and my boat isn't much for ducks so I usually hike in but its still a blast.
