    Default Glut on the Kenai?

I was just curious if there is still a glut going on, or if fishing has started to pick back up?

What do you mean by glut? I was on middle river from skilak to bings yesterday, water was high, fishing slow, did get a few.

The Trout and Dolly will feed on eggs until they are so full, they will not feed for a few days. Known as the Glut.

I had a friend float the upper from the bridge to Sportsmans on Saturday and he reported the fishing to be very good.

    Thanks Wyo2AK!

I am heading down tomorrow morning, and I will post any updates.

I called Troutfitters, and they said the water is higher and muddy. The feeder streams are funneling the mud down, but if the rain can hold off for a bit, the fishing will get even better.

Seems like they are always in the "Glut" when I am fishing there.

Yeah it did! When , I started hooking up every couple of casts down at the Russian/Kenai Confluence. Got a nice 20" bow towards the end of the day! I even got my first Kenai River Whitefish!
