Default Where to go for Unit 7 Sheep?

Planning on heading out soon for Dall Ram in Unit 7. Anyone know of sheep around lost lake area? Or any other places worth checking out? Thanks for any insight.

I suspect you are a little late for unit 7 or unit 15 sheep. Most of the legal rams in both these units are shot within minutes of first daylight on opening day. Good luck in your quest.

Call a biologist asap. They work for you and appreciate respectful requests for info. Never say never.

If that's where you feel you just HAVE to go, then I would look into the Paradise Valley area. Personally it's not where I would go, but for some reason you have to hunt unit 7 then it may be possible to find a ram up there. But if it were me I'd still hunt unit 15.....I mean if you want to stay in this general area and have some time.
Sheep hunting...... the pain goes away, but the stupidity remains...!!!

Go explore the KP sheep country and take a nice black bear while you're out there.
If cave men had been trophy hunters the Wooly Mammoth would be alive today

Exactly. There may not be any legal rams alive in the accessible areas, but there very well may be. It was a nasty weather season this year, and if you look at the harvest statistics there are late season sheep taken in Unit 7 once every few years. It happens, but I wouldn't count on it. But, as Erik says, black bears abound up in the alpine. Actually, that's probably where I'm heading in the morning.
