Sears and Roebuck canoe
I am considering buying a fiberglass (yes, real glass) canoe made by Sears- I suspect sometime in the '60s or '70s. It is a 14' double-ender and appears to be well made but has been patched. It won't win any awards for lightness, though for a glass canoe it is surprisingly light. I like the patchability of glass for a lake canoe. It looks as though it will need a good gel coating before I do too much with it, or could a person use epoxy paint?
Does anybody own or know anything about these craft?
