Ill stick with my rhino. Viking is too wide and long like the ranger for my preference. More for farm/utility use it appears. My rhino I can maneuver thru the tight woods as good as a standard four wheeler and load it in the bed of my truck but still have plenty of hauling capabilities. But it does look like a nice rig if it fits your needs(more hauling capacity, seating, etc.) and best of all its a yamaha

Reminds me of the Honda big red that was just discontinued this year to make a new and much improved 700 Pioneer. Much to big for my liking

I don't see the Rhino listed anymore, only the Viking in 2014.
Maybe 2013 is the last model year that the more compact Rhino will be offered?
The marketing dept must have decided that "bigger" was what folks wanted.
Too bad they couldn't offer both choices.

Same motor powers both, although compression ratio is a bit higher on the Viking.
Viking weighs about 150# more and tows about 300# more than the Rhino.
Wonder what that means when carrying 3 riders instead of 2?

    Thanx, Dave.

I will be very disappointed if they did discontinue the Rhino, especially without offering a similar model. I was hoping for a more "sporty" Rhino with more power, ground clearance, etc; like what Polaris did with the Razr.

Yes, they definitely discontinued the Rhino. There were too many lawsuits attached to that name for roll overs, etc. That's why they added the spacers, etc. 2013 was the last year.

Yamaha plans on releasing a new side by side each year for the next 5 years. They made the announcement at the release of the Viking. Hopefully they are paying attention and come out with more power, the 700 isn't very impressive in a large ATV.
