    Default late seward trip?

hi all, seeing how agust and september are ideal times for hunting, how late in the year can i go to seward and expect to find halibut and rockfish to catch? i have a 22ft jet, so i have to wait for good water, but i have no problem with taking it out to pony or so if necessary. is mid to late september too late? should i save the gas money for next year at that point? thanks

Halibut fishing has been pretty spotty in the bay this year so I'd say if you managed to find some great, but don't count on it. Shouldn't have any problem getting some rockfish, just a question of if it's enough fish to be worth the gas you'll burn.

Save the gas in a boat like that. You need to get out of the bay and the weather is sketchy. Homer is probably a better bet late like that.
