Default Any lakes or rivers in AK have a 10hp motor limitation?

Down in the lower-48, there were lots of places where a 9.9hp motor was the limit.

Up here, I only know about the Kenai SUA's 50hp restriction. But, I haven't been everywhere in AK (yet).

    Thanx, Dave.

Yes but you need to consult the regs for restrictions as there are many. Most rivers don't but I know of a few that do, lakes as well.

The Kasilof does. If using a motor on your drift boat it must be 10hp or less and only used downstream of Truijillios to exit the fishery.
The Kenai has similiar restrictions on drift boat only day.
There are probably others as well but those are two I have dealt with.

Memory lake in the valley has a 10 horse restriction. Probably other small lakes do to. The AF&G stocked lakes usually have a sign at the parking area with that info.

Thanx Jisler, that is a great resource document! Maybe a moderator will post it as a sticky, or move it over to the Directory pages.

Since it's dated 2009, I wonder if it gets updated from time to time, or if it was just a one-time effort by someone who thought it needed to be done?
