    Default Exhaust smell from IB

Have an issue with my new to me Wooldridge. 350 carb, 212 pump.
I'm getting either a strong exhaust smell, or maybe hot oil?? Sportdrifter gave me some good ideas that I checked out: heat exchanger is clean, risers are clean of obstructions, lots of water to exhausts. Exhaust flexes are tight, no signs of excess heat, no signs or indications of leaks.
I did an oil change and filled it right to the top line, would that cause some oil smells to get out through the breathers?
Its kind of annoying, but I am at a loss.

Have you tried using a hose as a stethoscope to listen for a leak?

Sounds like you may have spilled a little oil or maybe its escaping the breather if all your connections are tight. I know on car motors at least an exhaust leak sounds like a tick especially under load.
