There it is again: evidence why it's the military calibers in shortage, despite the drawdown in overseas wars.

It's the National Weather Service and NOAA stocking up for their special ops.......

Currently, probably more ammunition in private ownership than at any time in history. Lots of ammo on the shelves of the local box store this evening, including at least 4 different brands of .22LR....

    How much is that?
I just bought some .22 Thunderbolts in 500 rd bulk packs for $26 at Kenai sportsmans.
I think that was a fair price given the current shortages and all.
I think we all wish we could find it for $10 a brick.

Last Wednesday, Sportsmans Warehouse in Anchorage had about 39-40 boxes of thunderbolt .22lr for $26.00 and CCI mini mag 100 round .22lr for $9.00. They were stocking it just as I happend to get there. Went really fast and then saw a couple of people selling it on another local website for triple the price.

Probebly just preaching to the choir.... BUT PEOPLE GOT TO QUIT BUYING AMMO FROM SCALPERS!!!!! That's the only way this will stop. As long as people pay it they will keep buying it and re- selling it.

Let the suckers pay. I've got plenty. It's like people who pay scalper's prices for a silly concert. If they want to be fools, I can sit back and laugh at them. If they continue, there will be so much ammo out there that prices will crash, then I can buy even more.

Buy low, sell high. It works every time...............

Sportsmans had 50 round boxes for $3.49 and Natchez has the 325 round packs for $18.99 with a limit of two. I don't need it but wouldn't mind buying 5K if I can find it for 3-4 cents a round.
