    Hello,

Not Alaska I know but you can now fly there direct from Anchorage. Here is a link to some images I took during a 3 week trip to Iceland. It is an amazing place and I am frustrated my pictures do not show the scope and intensity of the place. Always the challenge.

Love the slow exposure water falls the most....great showcase for an intersting geology and country.

Thanks for the comments. I saw a person with the Icelandic pony along a sea wall. I watched for a bit and then asked. The ponies there are trained with a unique gait. Their leg motions in water support that gait as well as hyper-extend the normal range of motion on land. Horses seemed to really like it. I did a lot of tent camping and stayed in some hostels. I would like to go back.
