Beautiful ram Mossy. Fur and Feather has always treated me right. He did a good job. Good luck this year.

I thought the same thing, looks like he's concentrating hard on something. Great looking ram.

He'll have a goat or 3 here in a couple months too hopefully. I don't expect to see our caribou and griz back until after xmas - or easter..........(not from mike) - that is good timing!

I really didn't notice till you said something but that may have been my fault. Mike said I did a great job on fleshing and caping but his only suggestion was to leave a little more lip skin. He said it may have been me or could have been the tannery. It was only my second time caping an animal. So I think he had a little difficulty tucking the lips and that may be the reason for the tight looking lips. I'm happy with it though, I think it looks great and won't hesitate to use Mike again. On top of it all, he's very professional, honest and concerned with getting things to you on time.

Thanks for the comments guys and good luck this season.

Congrats Mossyhorn !!! a great story behind that ram too, Its a good feeling getting a ram on the wall that you get to wake up to everyday, and once you do, you just want to keep adding to the collection !!!! ....................Good luck, and safe travels up north for you guys !!!!

Nice looking mount. Do you know who form is made by? I like pose, but its a bit different than any that I've seen in catalogs.

You know I'm not really sure. We looked at a few and I told him what I was looking for and he took it from there.

I got 3 sheep with the same pose ( 2 right turn, 1 Left), the form is made by Mackenzie forms ( same guys that make the Bow targets) it's called "the sneak."

    Great ram.
The reason it looks 'stern' is that the eyes weren't mounted properly. they are partially open rather than all the way.
I'd have that taxi push those lids up to where they should be. The mount will be as it should and stellar.

    Only my .02.

I see what you're saying. I don't think they're wrong, maybe not the norm though. I think he looks relaxed, like he's resting. I'm happy with how it turned out and that it's a little off from the norm.

I about cut the ear off the broomer, shale cut up the one on the right, the pedestal mount is my best caping job. We will see how the one Jeese has now comes out. They all tend to get a wort or 2 in the take home process.

I can sit and look at them for hours, enjoy your mount.

That's what it's all about....if you're happy that's all that matters. Basically it was the same reason why I had the ram in my avatar done the way I did. Something out of the norm, and I've always loved the way a big dominant ram will do a lip curl when he's looking for a ewe. Did you know they say they can actually taste the air when they do that? Not everybody will like it and that's fine. I even had Ted Spraker try and talk me out of it. But I love the way it turned out and that's all that matters.....
