Sorry had to run and gun for a while so finish up this endeavor.

Brother, Cousin, Cousins son, son-in-law and son Gulkana 5 days of fun fishing was above reasonable. Cousin and Cousin Son just getting into fly fishing and for the most part were totally committed to getting it down. ADF&G states 27K reds have passed I will call BS. Also called 2.7K and some change on Kings again I will call B.S. unless there was a huge push I missed from Paxson down looked a little sparse and the water was low and clear.

Laker fishing is still worth the effort however the grass has not started to get to bad at the mouth of Paxson, only a few Reds in the East Fork but building. Sculp-Zilla's most of the way down. Couple of nice fish 26 inch class lots of nice 18-22's Grayling fishing was OK bigger fish in deeper water this year. Most of the old Humps in the middle river are gone so the structure is completely different up high. Lower river is drastic changes but the Bow fishing seemed to be more consistent than in past years. No fish on their redds yet that I could find.

Great, there goes the neighborhood. Just kidding. Nice pictures. Really though, there are no rainbows or lakers in the Gulkana River. Just a really bad rumor.

A wise man once said "some things are best left off message boards"!!

BC has been invited to run that river with me....he'd rather fish the Wulik apparently.

It's scary that I know exactly where each one of those pics was taken. Can't wait for August 5!

Yeah Yeah Yeah....if it were not for the huge some of money I was offered for this job in Kotzebue I would have taken you up on that offer this summer. Going to have to rain check until I move back south, hopefully sooner than later.

Hey, Moose, I've been meaning to confirm with you that the Living Legend is NOT coming up this summer, but we will still be on the river 8/5-8/8 if you happen to be down there...I think you said you were going to be floating it then anyway when I had mentioned it earlier this summer.

Bummer on the B.K. thing sorry it did not work out for this year. Had plans and people sorry to say redirect has happened looks like will not be to late August now which I really don't care for the water levels and or increased bear activity in certain locations but hey! If I did not have arbitration and negotiations this week and next, or I would be down there starting Friday and taking my time 5 day or 6 day trip. No rest for the stupid though!!!!!! Silly Moose he seems never to learn to just rent boats and guide!
