    Default Remaining Crown? (Sheep hunt)

I am going on a sheep hunt this fall and am wondering what I should do with any leftover Crown at the end of the hunt?

    1. Dump it on the ground
    2. Drink all of it
    3. Pack it out with me

My concerns with #1 are that an unsuspecting animal may come along and drink it thinking that it is water and then become intoxicated and maybe injure or kill itself.
With #2 I have much the same concerns about myself. Never been a hard drinker and not sure trying to hold it together on the side of a mountain is the best way to practice my drinking skills.
Of course with #3 I am fat and out of shape and not sure I can carry the weight of the leftover Crown and my ram in one trip. Those few ounces might be the straw that breaks the camels back.

What have you other members done in this situation?

Dumping it out is against the law. Bust to just take a couple mini bottles so you don't run into trouble.

Against man code law or an actual statute/ordinance?

My packer doesn't drink so thats also part of the problem. Plus he normally carries the pepper sticks and Tillamook Cheddar for both of us so I don't want to overload him with Crown.

Use it to marinate and grill some sheep meat. A little flambé steak!

Leave the crown behind in the bottle, send me the coordinates of the bottle and also pics of the sheep you shot.
I will go there next year and drink your crown after I shoot a sheep thus saving you the expense of another fly out to retrieve said bottle and your back from another pack trip with a sheep. We both win!

Crown Royal is a Excellent Yeti Attractant, or so I hear.. Dump it on a rock and wait, then when the yetti comes in down wind to run the essance on its cheek glands.. BAM.. you got yourself a sheep and a yeti.. Win Win..

I had heard of this technique but just like brown bear hunting(when you have a tag none are around) I think I cut myself short by getting drawn for one of the limited Yeti tags this last time around.

At the moment I don't have any Crown so I must have done something right at one point in life? On the other hand don't leave any Crown out in the open when matt83 is around.

Your supposed to bring a bottle of single-malt Scotch on a sheep hunt.... preferably "Macallon" . Not a cheap bottle of Crown....

Hmm...I am confused, must be a trick question. In all seriousness though I pour all my booze in lighter weight plastic bottles and if I am really trying to save weight I will pack ever clear and some tang packets. Now I have to be honest I haven't weighed either option to see how much I am saving but it is all mental and in my mind I have to be saving a few pounds.

Matt83 only drinks the Maple flavored crown so you are probably pretty safe. Unless you keep slipping regular crown into his drink while he's not looking then he doesn't know the difference.

Alcohol should never be placed directly on the ground. It is best to filtered it through your liver first.
