Thread: Fishing around Blackstone Bay, PWS?

Default Fishing around Blackstone Bay, PWS?

An amazingly nice friend is taking us out of Whittier to go drop some pots in Blackstone bay for shrimp in a couple of weeks, and we'll have most of a day to kill while we let them soak.

Is there anywhere within a reasonable distance where I can go wet a line for some dollies or something?

By the way, this is my first post here, but most assuredly won't be my last. I'm a born and raised Alaskan, but transplanted out for the last 6 years. Now I'm back for the summer with my wife who has never fished up here before, so she is helping to get my fishing stoke fired back up again!

While I'm asking questions, do you suppose Kepler lake would be a good place to toss a dry-fly (or a spinner in my wife's case) this weekend?

Not sure about Whittier, but Keplar lake has very good rainbow fishing, spinners or flies. Happy trails.
