St Elias would have much better sheep overall I'd guess. Guided for Claus over there several times and got to see the rams his kids pull outa the hard park....wow.

I would suggest a road hunt just south of Los'Anchorage, early morning.

    Seward Highway nearing Beluga Point.
We do not go to the green woods and crystal waters to rough it, we go to smooth it. We get it rough enough at home; in towns and cities; in shops, offices, stores, banks anywhere that we may be placed

Remember it is a lot about the experience; not just the results.

Yep, but only if the state would break up the local mafia families that illegally control it and unethically force people not to hunt there through intimidation and subtle threats of hurting their flying businesses. As soon as I can afford a Super Cub though, I am going to take as many "friends" as I can in there. My hobby will be landing right on top of them and pitching a tent for the night for a nice camp out. Rinse, repeat. (rant off)

Here are a few rams from that exact place taken today while flying by there. Not the clearest photos one pic of 3 rams and a loner by himself.

Here is my second try. First try was from photobucket and this try is direct from my computer. Very frustrating. Almost as much as search option.

If I'm not mistaken they did a draw there some years back. Not sure what was taken there but myself and a guiding buddy found a dandy broomer in there as well as a nice full plus. Some deceiving small tight full curls there too but it's still one of my favorite places to look at sheep in early spring

Yes there was a draw for there for a number of years....one or two allowed each year I think. But like you, I never saw any rams taken......
