Default Present from fish and game.

I got home yesterday and opened a letter from f&g and it said that they were giving away 12 more copper river bison tags and I am one of the 12. Finally the 300 dollars a year to tags paid off. Now I have to do some last minute prep for a bison hunt. Has anyone floated from copper center to chitna? I will prob pay he ahtna land pass fee as I won't get this chance again. I just got done reading Steve renellas book about bison and think that it was just ment to be. I have access to a jet boat or raft and have snow machines with sleds. Any help on which is the best way would be appreciated. I am going o be in the brooks on opening day and was thinking of going in October. I know how tough it is to cross in the river so I would like to try in a boat or raft first. Kind of excited. Thanks

Save your money, you do not need to cross or hunt bison on ahtna land. A jet boat would be nice an air boat would be better.

Now that is the kind of present I would love to get! My youngest daughter got one of those letters in the mail for a Nelchina caribou tag that they said was due to a misshap on their end when processing her application. She was pretty excited to get that, can't imagine getting a bison tag.

Umm... ADFG made a mistake. That bison tag is actually mine. Send it to me and I'll take care of the paper work for you. Please make sure you send me all your personal information and ID cards as well, just so I can get it all straightened out. I'll send it all back to you next spring along with a tender back strap.
