    Default Chinese Firedrill

Everything that could go wrong did go wrong ... we caught 62" halibut inspite of broken harpoon and jammed gun, a little north and east of Cape Clear, Mnntague Is. Janette worked the gopro3 and put the vidio together.

Fish konker .... we do not have a fish konker ... Smaller fish we put in the big cooler straped to the swim platform, once there we snip the gills with a big set of dykes and let them bleed out, if it is big we shoot it, first time in 13 years the Marlin Papoose failed me, going to buy a new brick of 22 lr. I am going to go out and buy a fish Konker for situations like this. I am the old guy ... aka Dad ... Ryan my son did all the work and his sweet heart Jannet up from Portland Or for the summer, did all the photography I think she is a really good. ...

Ever consider running a rope around the tail and up thru the gills...pretty effective method for subduing a large fish without proper gear. Did this out of necessity after we found ourselves face to face with a large halibut from our chicken hole and not being prepared.

Very nice fish!!! Great job with the harpoon and recovery when it got loose.

Was watching youtube vids and then came to the forum to see this post. Funny the small world we are in.

You need a blurfix kit for your GoPro. That round lens causes blur underwater and you won't believe the quality difference with the kit installed. Razor sharp images. We did it before our Kodiak trip last summer and the difference was amazing...

Been there....done that more than once. Nice recovery job.

I also have had 22 LR miss fire even keeping them in a sealed jar to prevent moisture problems.
