Default Middle Fork Chena- Info about late season hunt

I'm looking for info about the East Fork of Chena River and access. I'm considering a bow hunt the end of September. What is the general condition of the river for a float? It's my understanding that the water is thin and slow moving. How difficult is it to make way up river?

Is the "winter trail" passable on foot? I'm considering traveling the trail in and floating out. Can the valley be walked? Or, is this an argo and airboat area?

What's the status of the moose population in the area?

    thanks,
    Tom

moose population is low, plenty of predators more depending on the migrations of the 40mi herd.. Rivers typical low to uber low! airboat land and she's pretty shaddy with snags!

winter trail is no motorized zone in sept.
