How have you shipped (what container) your sheep horns coming out of the field then with AKAIR within state?

Yeah......however you decide to do it, don't let them be seen or it may be the last time YOU see them. They're too dang valuable....

Did you fit the hide in with the skull?

No, because we took the whole hide not just the cape so that was a separate tote.

We used what we had. Always hope for one that won't fit!!!

Why would they? It is not a threat to the transportation system! They are not F&G police! It is not a weapon, wasn't bloody and skull was triple wrapped in plastic to contain any drips or funk. No different that a bear skull, which I have hand carried as well. It was too valuable to let out if my sight and possibly get lost.

I've always put mine in a standard action packer as checked luggage.

Make it into a hat and wear it on the plane! I'm sure that's acceptable transportation.

Knowing you, I can believe you'd do that.

I bought a rubber maid container in Fairbanks. I folded the salted hide in a black garbage bag, and put the horns with them in the tote.
I duct taped the container, and put it on as checked luggage.

    It worked well.

    Good luck.
