    Default White King

CAn anyone tell me what a White King is. I have seen them, mentioned on here a bunch. We get spawned out kings here that get all black and the meat turns white as they metabolize the fat on thier way up steam. This isn't them is it?

A white king (generally caught in the saltwater) is a king salmon whose meat is white instead of the usual color. It is every bit as fresh and healthy as any other king salmon in the ocean. I believe they have a genetic condition that does not allow them to process the part of their diet (carotene?) that colors the meat. You cannot tell a king is a white one until you cut it open.
Definitely not the spawned out kings you mention.
