Thread: Bittersweet day

  1. #1

    Default Bittersweet day

In less than 24 hours from speaking with someone about possibly selling my boat it has been sold. Bitter because I really enjoyed putting it together and it was a thrill to operate. The sweet part is that I did better than breaking even which rarely happens in a boat deal. And I have to move so the money will come in handy.

Goodbye Heavy Hitter...thanks for the memories and good times...

IIRC 1991. Hell, I didn't even use a seat...stayed on my feet throughout the day most of the time.

The second happiest day of a boat owners life
Those that are successful in Alaska are those who are flexible, and allow the reality of life in Alaska to shape their dreams, vs. trying to force their dreams on the reality of Alaska.

If you have a tenuous grasp of reality, Alaska is not for you.

Funny thing...that motor had zero issues...ran great unless the filter had water...but never let me down. I may have just been lucky but the wiring and stack of carbs in there always made me wonder!!! LOL

Last Saturday I was just coming over to say hi, when you guys started heading in. I wasn't trying to cut you off (my wife thought I was tho) but rather trying to break some waves for you. Where are you moving to?

I wasn't out in the Zodiac last week but it is a nice gesture just the same! Just somewhere else in Anchorage...the house I rent is going to be given to the daughter of the owner as a wedding present so out I go...kinda sucks but that's life...nobody ever said life is fair. LOL

Thank you very much Rob...smoking offer.

Was just on the phone with Fonz from B&J he's here for a break from the service and has to go back on the 15th and is looking for 1 trip on the salt but now that I have no boat he is sad too.

That's cool. I haven't seen him in a long time. We might be heading down to fish this weekend, but the forecast isn't looking too good today. If not, we will be down all next weekend too if you guys are around.
