    Default What to do?

I have the second week of July without wife or kids. Where would u recommend fishing? I was thinking Pinks maybe Hope or Valdez. Cash is tight so road system only. Thanks

Kenai for reds, maybe. That's still a little early, though.

I would head to the Denali Highway for grayling, lake trout, hiking, and solitude. It's a bit early for the Kenai to be rocking for reds, likewise pinks elsewhere. I like salmon fishing well enough and like a full freezer, but if I had a week solo during that time frame, I'd be looking for solitude on gentle streams with incredible views.
