Default How tall is your moose-proof fence?

As much as we hate to have to do it, we are putting a fence up around our garden area this year. While getting the posts in the ground, a cow and calf has already made one visit so now they know the goodies are there. Never had them come this early, usually they wait til the veggies are about ready to harvest. So, how tall do you typically make your fence, and how much space can you allow at the bottom that keeps them from going under? We have a nice walkway all around the garden, so no chance of them sticking their head under to grab the goodies, but not sure how high up we can safely go to keep them from going under.

I use four strands of electric fence to keep both bears and moose out. Portable charger that operates on four D-cell batteries does the job. Only have to replace the batteries a couple of times during the season. Much easier than trying to construct a moose-proof fence.
