    Default Sockeye in Kodiak

I just completed a good search and don't see a lot of talk about
Kodiak Sockeye...can anyone tell me if I they are in pretty good down there?
I am traveling to Kodiak for an overnight business trip tomorrow and would like to
wet a line for a few hours.

Lower river by airport on incoming high tide or just below the weir any time, but early morning is best.

Are they in good though? And thanks for the info. I fished that once last fall a little later than now but only did a couple instant catch and releases.

Look at ADFG weir count for current trend. Time is now, they are in the river. I caught my first almost 4 weeks ago.

Will start being out the road now too, go there and look at low tide.

If I had time, I wouldn't hesitate! Polarized glasses are must. Go spot a fish and catch it. Good luck!

They are coming in big this season. The 2 fish limit in the Buskin has been upped to 5 fish. Even the local subsistence gill netters have been given a move closer to the mouth opportunity. Escapement has been met. Enjoy the opportunity...

Thanks for the heads up. I am in Kodiak right now and several of my customers have also said they were running good now.

According to AOJ they are in there thick. Limits have been increased in several areas around kodiak.
