    Any reports for the chatinika. Have never fished this river and looking to go after Pike or grayling.

    If the water is down, you can catch grayling from one end of the river to the other. I tried the flats last week and the water was higher than I'd ever seen it - nary a pike to be found.
    Passing up shots on mergansers since 1992.

    Fishing gets better in July spotty in June .river is high normally from melt off,and muddy so sight fishing is bad.
