Thread: Where to buy skull-whitening supplies (peroxide) in Fairbanks?

Default Where to buy skull-whitening supplies (peroxide) in Fairbanks?

I've got a bear skull I need to whiten soon and I'd like to do something nicer than soaking it in normal 3% peroxide for whitening.

Has anyone had any luck finding 40 volume peroxide around town, and at what store/brand? Since it can't be shipped to AK in an online order I'm sort of stuck.

Sallys Salon of Style, it is off college behind the strip mall, the store front faces the alley. Get the 40 and the powder, ladies use it to dye hair. Just bought some last week to do these bear and ram skulls.

I removed the teeth, so they did not get bleached out.

Thanks stid, you got me pointed in the right direction but not quite the right store. I went to Sally's Salon of Style (in the back of a strip mall on College) and she was pretty confused about the request, since she's a stylist not a supplier. She pointed me to Leslie's Beauty Supply along the alley behind the strip mall by Mayflower Buffet off 3rd Ave, and I got what I needed (40 volume peroxide & Clairol Basic White) there.

Thanks again for the recommendation -- I just wanted to post the correction for future reference for others.

The girl must of been confused. I get mine at Sally's also but in Wasilla. Be sure to use gloves when dealing with this stuff. The girl at the counter showed me her fingers from many bleach jobs with out gloves and it wasn't pretty.
