    Default Alliant 4000 MR powder

I have 4 lbs of this new Alliant 4000MR powder and no data - I want to use it in a 7mm Rem Mag with 150's presently - Alliant told me this, "similar to RL-19, maybe on the fast side" (thanks ! a lot of help there) anyone using it ?

They have loads listed for 145 and 160 grainer listed in their 2013 catalog. 63 gr max for 145 and 60 max for 160's. 60 grains of 4000mr should get in the ballpark for a starting point. Take a look:

I use it in my .300 win mag. with 71.5gr and a 200 gr bullet i get 2900 fps. COAL 3.330 with barnes tsx. put 7 rounds in 1 inch with that recipe.
It's not skybusting if you fold em'.

I loaded up a few new Norma cases (7mm Rem Mag) with 210M's, 63.0 of 4000MR and 150 Etips (moly coated) and sat down at the bench and put 3 through the same exact hole at 100 yds, exactly 3" high and dead center - now I'm scared to touch anything ! "IF" I can repeat that a couple of times all I need to do is chrono the load and get my gear ready !
