    Default Is Eagle River Pack-Raftable?

    Does anyone know if Eagle River is pack raftable from Glacier Lake down to the Nature Center area?

    Yes, with two major caveats. You will want to take out at Echo Bend and hike the last three miles if you aren't up to rafting some seriously big water (class IV?). Also, unless you can find some real intel from this year, I'd be awfully cautious about sweepers. A lot of rivers in Southcentral got hit pretty hard by winds and floods, and many have sweepers that are causing problems this spring. I would expect the same to be true of Eagle River.

    I dont know anything about pack rafting, but I do know that we set up on JBER for 2 water rescues last summer for people tipping their boats in eagle river.
