    Default unit 14 bear down

finally connected, i had got solid hits at my bait 3 days in a row but nothing was coming in while i sat out there so i had some time off and decided i would sit out there all night if i had too. finally at near 11 pm after sitting in my stand for nearly 5 hours the woods came alive right underneath my stand. he was not interested in the barrel 50 yards away but just kept circling my stand shaking all the trees around it. at one point the ladder moved and i thought he might try to come on up.i was not able to see him directly underneath me because my stand is enclosed.after about 5 minutes all the noise just stopped and i thought he might be gone, but i managed to catch a glimpse of him out the back of my stand as he was walking straight away from me and i capped him in the back of the head. nice 5 and a half foot bore. hide is in great condition. top gun taxidermy, mat valley meats, skull on boil, hopefully i can piece it back together

That was a 2min fix, could of made it even better. Try Picmonkey to edit most pics...free and does a great job with what it has.

or more advanced work use Lightroom 4

270 wsm with 130 grain bullet. hit him in the back of the neck and the bullet came out the top of his head,.. no tracking at all. easy shot at 10 yards. after 3 bears, 2 moose and a couple caribou i really like this caliber. i have always shot the 130 grain bullets, federal ammo lately because i cant find the winchester ammo anymore.

pretty cool photoshop, i prefer the blood, but that is neat

still been a lot of activity at the bait,.. i passed on this monster sow a few days ago. she had cubs with her that were huge, they probly should of been kecked out a long time ago. i thought about filling the rest of my tags but ended up just taking pictures and watching them for a while until they decided to move on. the very next day my partner shot this nice 5 and a half foot bore after sitting in stand for about an hour.

been fun baiting this year, lots of activity, heading in again tonight to see if i can connect on another bear. this stand is completely removable and held up by ropes, it is a pain but it comes apart in sections and all debris are removed after the season. trails have been the more difficult part this year with the late meltoff but they are finally drying up. i nearly had to abandon my jeep in a mudhole plus me and my partner have both sunk our wheelers pretty bad but it is still fun
