Run the Susitna yesterday and there is lots of debris and the water is rising by the minute. Huge ice jam up in Curry. Could get interesting!

Buddy ran it today. Said it was relatively an easy run but the water is high due to whatever is going on upstream. Pretty surprising considering these temps that ice could hang on anywhere.

He made it up the deshka just fine but didnt mark a single fish on the sonar or see any sign of life what so ever. They didn't target any trout that I know of so I cant report to that fact but there sure aren't any hooligan or salmon up that far yet.

Hooligan are running in the lower Susitna now. Belugas are all over the mouth of the river. Should be good below the Yetna for hooligan. Water is very high and full of debris. Saw a couple of Kings roll at the mouth of Alexander also!

Shouldn't take more than a couple of days. The peak is here it looks like to me and they are netting some below the Yetna at Su Station. If you were in my back yard you would be done quick! Been listening to the Biologist and all they know about Hooligan and it's really cool! Got to watch a couple of the guys Tag some Hooligan today and am learning a lot about how Hooligan are an important part of the food chain!
