Default Not a paying customer in sight, so burned av-gas anyway

No paying customers showed up today.. (as they had promised) so around 1800 hrs tonight I gassed up the cub and crawled into the front seat for a change..
It was a wonderful early evening flight with smooth air in the mountains. It is very weird to actually see the instrument panel... I am used to flying the old gal from the back seat while demonstrating.

Of course I forgot to take my camera,,, which I found sitting on the porch rail at home....

Well there is 3 hours of non-profit av-gas burn that the wife will complain about...

    But it was worth it....

Makes for a good attitude adjustment huh? Clears the head and relieves stress. Always works for me unless something breaks....

Reminds me of a long-ago Sunday morning when my wife and I discovered that we had no bread for toast to go with hour bacon and eggs. Propped the ol' Aeronca Chief and lit out for Kenai to buy that loaf of bread. Great breakfast !!!

FP, when I get back to AK, one of the first things I am going to do is look you up and go fly with you! I believe in supporting the little guy and besides that, I just like to fly! I can always enjoy another pilots company and some time in the sky!

You had better hurry. The dwindling business over the past few years has me on the verge of taking up sailing. Yet another activity my wife will not like and thus continually complain about.

Don't give up yet FP! I will be back up in Anchorage by the end of the month. Plan to look you up and do some flying as soon as I can after that!
