Default Hooligan are in the Kenai

As promised we found them yesterday. Neighbors were asking if I had seen any. while checking my riverbank AM and PM not a one. so, i said come over and try a few dips. They were getting one or two and we talked about they may be running deeper. Get on my dock and try. first scoop about a dozen. Then just got better and better. Thanks to having a cell phone I called my son in law and the grandkids came. Then a couple other friends. In all about 35 gallons in short order.

With the unfathomable abundance, it's very tempting to take far more than folks can reasonably use. Here's a much more heart-warming clip of hooligan fishing on another stream. Enjoy.

Loved that second video Doc. My 8 and 3 year old would have a ball doing that.

Historical question........ Do the abundance of hooligan in the Kenai provide any indication of the strength of the King and Sockeye runs?
