Thanks, has anyone been down to the camp ground? The part of the lake you can see from the road always thaws first.

Ice is out with just a bit on the west end of the lake. Boaters are running the cob webs out and the fish are circling.

Hey AllAlaskan how about another first hand report of % of ice left on the lake when you get back. Thinking about taking the sea runner out and let her run around in circles for an hour or two before I go out on the salt.

Ok, we are leaving in a few hours to head out that way. When we get back later I will let ya know how the ice is. I will try to remember to bring my camera too.

I was at a party at a house on Finger Lake last evening. The lake is completely open, and people at the party who live on other lakes said that Finger Lake was the only lake open to their knowledge. There were quite a few boaters out on the water, and it looked like several were testing their vessels, and at least one looked like he was trying to figure out how to operate a powerboat..................

He caught that one with an earth worm about 2 1/2 to 3 feet below the bobber in around 7-10 feet of water.
