Nice job. How long did it take you to reel it in? And how's the weather so far up your way this fishing season?

RimFire I'm in Kodiak. Fishing hasn't been what Jeff's been doing, or was in Old Harbor, but a coulpe fish everynight has been the norm. It was wierd, fish have been hitting like frieght trains, first hit the last 4 times out has been before I can get the second rigger down, this one took about 3 minutes before the rod went off. Deep rigger (15') and it I thought I was bouncing bottom, the rod just had a slight bump to it, as soon as I walked over to it it went off. Took her about 20 minutes to boat it, fish decided to change directions on us, she couldn't react fast enough, wrapped rod on rigger boom and blew it in half, last 5 minutes was with half a rod.

I'll let him report for himself, but I doubt it. All the 50#+ fish we've caught over the years have had skeins so small you can barely identify them, much less tell males from females. I haven't broken into the 40's yet this spring, but all ours so far in the 20's and 30's have had skeins smaller in diameter than a pencil . Clearly feeders.

good to see that you are still at it. Mike and I are heading to PWS at the end of next month. Hopefully we can remember a few things that you taught us.
