I've anchored out front ..... and just a little to the south of the lagoon and cabin, but it kind made me nervous because it drops off into deep water so fast. Needs to be pretty calm to get any sleep.

    TM2SNOW,

I have acnhored in the same location the Cormit talks about, south of the entrance to the lagoon in front of the first gravel beach on shore. To avoid swinging into deeper water, I have a line, 300', to shore. I connect the anchor rode and the line to shore to a bouy. The bow painter gets tied to the bouy. You obviously will need a tender to get to and from the boat.
