Default Is there a Shuttle service on the Kenai and Kasilof

What companies or individuals provide shuttle services on the Kenai and Kasilof rivers for boaters. What are there terms of usage and approximate cost?

Wildmans in Cooper Landing handles upper Kenai ($30?), a Canoe outfit in Sterling handles the middle river, he may pipe up, he's a forum member. Don't know of a Lower Kenai Shuttle, calling a taxi is quite common (probably around $25).

Don't know if anyone does the Kasilof anymore.

Most people don't float alone, make your partner drive a second car, that's what I do!

Can't tell you for sure, I don't float it. The state is starting construction on a state ramp toward the bottom end of the Kasilof, don't recall if it was this year or next.

There are 2 takeouts. Trujillos is the easiest and is on the K Beach side. Follow the signs to Ed's Kasilof Seafoods. It is open from 7am to 7pm. The other is Kasilof Cabins on the Coho Loop side. You will need a motor or go out with the tide. It is downstream from Trujillos a mile or two. The cabins don't close at 7. I'm not sure if there is a shuttle this year or not. If so, it is definitely worth it if you're going to the Cabins.

thanks jcoff1. Does the river fish the whole way down to the lower take out point ( kasilof cabins) and what is roughly the cost of the take out in dollars? Also if you could remember , what was the historic cost of the shuttle service? Thanks mate for all your help. ....Micky

There's very little to fish after Trujillos. The takeout costs are $15 and the shuttle $17. The launch is $5. I usually plan on $50 total for the day.
