    Default stampede trail

Anybody know the best time to ride the stampede trail? Crossing the river is the biggest concern. Is a rzr 4 with snorkels good for crossing fast moving water?

My only experience riding there is the fall time, and every time I been back there I have not been able to get across the tek river via ATV. The water was too high and very swift, wasn't worth possibly losing my wheeler and/or life. I did witness two park rangers cross in Honda Ranchers so it is doable if you know where to go and if the water is low enough but last year it was higher than years past. I'd check it out in June after all the snow and ice is gone and before all the melt off starts flowing, might be doable than. But that's just my opinion. Still a nice ride just getting to the Tek river though, you just have to stay on the easement trail through the park for a few miles, don't go off it or you might be getting a visit from the feds.
