    Default Hunting out of Juneau

A buddy and myself are heading out of Juneau to look for a black bear. We were going to go to either Boat Harbor or down to Point Howard area if anybody has any input it would be greatly appreciated. We are going out on the 15 of May.

I'm in Juneau and have been bear hunting - Right now things are pretty slow...late spring, still lots of snow inside the woods either N or S of town. I have seen 2 bears S of town, NOTHING north yet. My bear that I got was right in close to town...

we went up to william henry bay and there was too much snow so we headed down Lynn and saw a little bit of green grass but no sign any where around it. Saw a bunch of moose sign everywhere we stoped.

Just north of St. James Bay - just about due west across Lynn Canal from Point St. Mary at the entrance to Berner's Bay.
