    Default Skilak Lake

Can anyone comment on the current conditions of Skilak?

Any snow left surrounding the lake?
We do not go to the green woods and crystal waters to rough it, we go to smooth it. We get it rough enough at home; in towns and cities; in shops, offices, stores, banks anywhere that we may be placed

There is still ice on part of the lake....
It's better to burn out than fade away.....

The wind is known for blowing off the glacier and down the lake toward the outlet, water flows the same direction, my money is on the ice being on the west end.

I was at the lower boat launch yesterday and there was no ice I could see. Road getting there is a challenge in a few areas.

Don't count on launching a boat unless its light enough to carry or you're feeling creative.
