Default Rain X on the windshield?

Does anyone have experience with using Rain X on your salt boat windshield? I have an Alaskan and the middle window (the bow door) is always a pain to look through when it rains or spray due to there is no wiper on it....was thinking of Rain X...or maybe someone has a better product in mind?

When I had a boat I always used RainX. It really helped my visibility even tho I had wipers.

Just use paste wax. Only difference between rainx and wax is the price.

+100 for Rain X. You just have to remember to clean it off after a couple of trips and reapply. It does work great.

Rain X on the outside, and no-fog on the inside. Helps tremendously for me especially since I have manually operated wipers.

    Yup, great stuff.

By far the BEST glass application for rain repellent. I apply it annually to our vehicles and the results are awesome. I've used RainX applications as well as the additive to the tanks and there is no comparison.

Now, Ive never used it in a salt condition, so I cannot comment there.

We do not go to the green woods and crystal waters to rough it, we go to smooth it. We get it rough enough at home; in towns and cities; in shops, offices, stores, banks anywhere that we may be placed

RainX for the outside, and I use dish soap with a bit of water on the inside, it takes care of foggy windows. Joy lemon fresh is good for keeping the boat smelling nice, AND I wash all my tackle with it. ITs a trick from my commercial trolling days I learned from highliners (washing the tackle).

Rain X wears off too fast I like to use car wax. Just about any wax such as turtle wax, it lasts longer and applies easily do a few coats on a nice day. I have done this for years. I even use it on my visor for my motorcycle helmet and it makes the rain slide off and bugs don't stick as bad.

Rain X works great on glass but don't put it on plastic or acrylic it will make it fog up as in burn/melt it. I've always thought of using wax just never got around to it, i bet it will work great. I've been using the dishsoap on the windows trick forever works great.

Remember, most center windows are not glass to keep the weight down. Good heads up Steve!

Thanks I'll give that a shot. I have used the rain X anti fog and that stuff is worthless. Right now all I do is have a paper towel in my hand and drive and wipe drive and wipe drive and wipe. That gets old

The boat I crewed had polycarb windows without wipers. We always used RainX; great stuff. Even after taking green water over the cabin all night in Shelikof Strait the windows would still sheet off clean.
